About Me

Professional riichi mahjong player certified in Japan with the Japan Professional Mahjong League. Also current organizer of the World Riichi Championship. I travel the world playing tournaments and spreading the word of riichi.

It’s no exaggeration that Jenn Barr teaching me mahjong changed the entire course of my life. Before that, I was a language student planning a life of translation and words. Now I spend a lot of my time talking about mahjong and trying to make more mahjong happen.

Since learning mahjong over ten years ago, I have been involved in the mahjong community in Europe as part of the European Mahjong Association (EMA). I then decided to take my love of the game one step further to study in Japan and take the professional level certification with the Japan Professional Mahjong League (JPML).

I continue to work with EMA and JPML to popularize and spread the good word of riichi mahjong throughout the world. The greatest venture I’ve had the privilege of participating in is the World Riichi Championship that grows from strength to strength.
